Weekly Updates, CW 41 2026, A brainstorming week
This week’s update covers calendar week 41 of 2026 (October 5–11).
Title
I was searching for a title of the week, and eventually I came up with the one that suits the week best, a brainstorming week, as I spent the majority of the week brainstorming ideas with ChatGPT and Perplexity, until I came up with an idea that I liked best.
Summary
The week started with some personal drama that I don’t want to share, I also spent some time reading “Tiny Experiments” by “Anne-Laure Le Cunff”, an interesting book I would say. I also finished writing a blog I was planning to do for a long time, you can check it out at the link. Finally, I was brainstorming ideas for a side project for as long as I can remember, and this week I finally managed to find something to start with.
Tiny Experiments
I’ve had this book in my library for almost two years, but I never had the time to read it, although I try to average two books a month, I still didn’t find time for it.
The book focuses on the idea of using tiny experiments instead of rigid goals. This method focuses on the output, rather than the outcome. You don’t set a goal of reaching 10K followers for your newly created channel, but you say I would publish two videos a week for the next 100 days, after this time is over you evaluate your results and based on that you decide if you want to continue or not. The output is ~30 videos published, the outcome is how successful this was.
Of course the book contains many other interesting ideas, like chapter 5 when the author talks more about procrastination, if you’re not a native English speaker like me then I will let you know that “procrastination is the act of unnecessarily delaying, postponing, or putting off a task or decision despite knowing that doing so will likely lead to negative consequences”. Anne mentions that the source of procrastination could be either head, heart, or hand. She suggests to ask yourself these three questions to understand more why you are procrastinating. Is the task appropriate? exciting? and doable?
I am looking forward to what this book still has to offer, I will also try to write a short summary of it.

Are we losing what makes us human?
In case you missed this post, I would highly recommend you to read it.
Brainstorming
Since I am officially unemployed right now and I have more free time, I decided to work on a side project. Now I’ve been looking for the perfect idea for a long time. I guess the perfect idea doesn’t exist, so I’ve focused on one idea that I had for a long time.
I wrote some initial specs for the product, shared them with ChatGPT, he had many extra helpful ideas, and recommended more details. I went back and forth between ChatGPT and Perplexity, refining the specifications and challenging my assumptions until I reached a version that 1) I can do solo in a reasonable time period. 2) Fits within my allocated budget. 3) Aligns well with my career goals.
To be honest I am not sure if this is a solid idea, or if I can make anything out of it, but I would still go for it to showcase my capabilities. I still need to break this down to milestones, epics, and stories in Jira. Make some deadlines to commit to, hopefully I can finish all of this next week, and I can soon start with the implementation.

The Buried City: Unearthing the Real Pompeii
I was in Thalia yesterday, and this book caught my attention so I bought it. I’ve read before “Delusion and Dream in Jensen’s Gradiva” by “Sigmund Freud”, Gradiva is a novel written by Wilhelm Jensen, it starts by describing the eruption of mount Vesuvius in Naples in AD 79, rest of the events happen in modern life in the city of Pompeii. I loved this novel, so I decided to buy the book. Also I think it would inspire some ideas for something else I am planning to work on later.

Conclusion
I hope you liked this post as much as I liked writing it, to be honest it felt really nice to document everything I did in one week, and I feel really happy about it.
